CAT Match Report

The third match on the second day was played between Bhutan and Nepal at Gymkhana Club. Both teams had won their opening matches in Group B on the previous day but it was a one-sided encounter as the Nepalese hit the heights with a nine-wicket victory.

Bhutan struggled from the start of their innings against the most accurate bowling yet seen in the tournament. No batswoman reached double figures only Sonam Deki finding the boundary, Sonam Khadka conceding only three runs in her five overs and taking two wickets.

The Nepalese bowled a total of nine maiden overs but at least Bhutan were not dismissed, reaching a total of 34 for nine in their 25. Nepal needed just 9.3 overs to reach their target of 35, Maya Rawat making batting look easy with 20 from 25 balls, Anju Gurung claiming Bhutan’s only wicket.
