Madras Gymkhana Club to play in Thailand
The Madras Gymkhana Club, a prestigious club established in 1884, will travel to Thailand to play some friendly competitive matches from the 1st to the 5th of April, 2011.
They will play the Pattaya Cricket Club, captained by Simon Philbrook on the 1st of April at the Horseshoe Point. They will then travel to Bangkok to play two games on the 3rd and 5th of April, 2011 against the Bangkok Select XI.
The Madras Gymkhana team will have youth and experience among their ranks. Mr. AP Suresh Kumar is the most decorated senior cricketer at 53, still playing. AP Suresh represented Tamil Nadu in Ranji Trophy and has been an avid cricketer, administrator, team owner and an ardent supporter.

VP Raman: The Team Captain: Played Under 19 and currently playing Tamilnadu Cricket Association (TNCA) League.
Anand Kumar- plays First Division league currently and has played State under 19 and University
Sohail : Current University player; plays II division league
Bisham : Current University player; plays II division league
Shivram: Current University player; plays II division league
Venkat Subramanian has played TNCA representative first class cricket, captained District, University, Southzone University, Combined District and State Schools.
Others such as Rajesh, Ajay, Abhishek, Manish, Gulshan are all current TNCA League players.
Kumar, Srinivasan have played league in the past and current team members.
